About the Love Compatibility reading

Five cards: your energy, theirs, the connection itself, its challenge, and where it is heading. It reads the bond rather than scoring the two of you out of ten.

What it is not

It is not a percentage, and it will not tell you whether someone loves you. Tarot is unreliable on other people's private feelings and very good at describing dynamics — what the two of you keep doing to each other, and what that is producing.

Read the second card as "how they are showing up in this", not as a window into their head. That is both the honest reading and, in practice, the more useful one.

The middle card carries the reading

Card three is the connection as its own thing — a relationship has a character that neither person fully controls. Two of Swords here describes two people being careful with each other; Ten of Cups describes something that already works and is being under-appreciated.

Cards four and five then say what strains it and where it goes if nothing changes. Together those two are usually the part people screenshot.

Asking about someone who does not know

You can draw about anyone. What you should not do is treat the result as a verdict on them and act on it as if they had spoken. Use it to work out your own next move — whether to say the thing, whether to wait, whether you already have your answer.

If you find you are drawing about the same person weekly, the spread has stopped being a reading and become a way of not deciding. That is worth noticing more than any card in it.

Before you draw

Have one specific relationship in mind and one honest question about it. "Are we compatible" is too broad to produce anything you can use; "what keeps happening between us" is answerable.

For a lighter look first, Past · Present · Future on the relationship costs nothing and often makes the five-card version unnecessary.
